Shell paintings

These partly eroded shells are a response to witnessing the long illness and final parting of my mother, in a way representing the resilience and beauty of nature at every stage of existence.

Construction paintings

This collection is a response to the downturn in the economy and the many unfinished and abandoned buildings that were dotted around the country.

Sea paintings

Living beside the sea, I am inspired by its ever changing colours and sounds. I walk along the beach every day and the feeling of freedom and openness energizes me.

Still life

I like to focus on a number of familiar items when I’m in a contemplative humour.
